How many color choices should hte 5th Gen Camaro have?

Now I think that the next camaro should have a wide range of colors available and more than one shade of a color though they were some great colors I feel that some of them could have looked better and more could have been offered.

So I'm asking the question how many choices of color should the 5th gen camaro have?

Now here's what the color choices should be.......

2 shades of red (a bright red and a metallic red like the Vette's the current red that's on Chevy cars now I like and the 5th gen had probally one of the best shades of red)

Black and White (2 of the most simple colors you probally can't do without)

Silver and Pewter shades(a silver can look good if it's a light sparkly shade and I'm not too big fan of the pewter color but some like it but maybe a charcoal type grey and a gold color could be offered as well)

2 shades of Green (a nice dark vibrant emerald colored green a forest type green and also I think GM is coming out with a greenish blue color called bermauda blue that is a greenish blue shade maybe a color like that could be offered)

2 shades of orange (thats right Orange will come back the Sunset Orange Metallic color looks great and the return of a Hugger Orange type color)

2 or 3 shades of blue (well the later 4th gen blue was kinda a disappointment but I haven't seen one real up close to make my final judgement but from what I have seen I thought the blue looked too dark and you could confuse it as a black color. I think the 5th gen's blue should be a more vibrant color and GM gots 2 shades of blue right now I think would work as a main color either a less expensive shade of the LeMans Blue color I think that would be the best or maybe that Lazer Blue color I have seen it once and it seemed like it would pop out and glow and show up real nice. Also I think a lighter shade of blue should be offered. Maybe like a baby blue type color with metallic in it)

Yellow (right now I think GM gots that color down and I would love to see it on the next gen camaro)

Purple and other colors (yes there should be a purple color I think it would fit well in the lineup also I think that maybe special edition color changing paint or real funky colors could be offered as special edition paint and be a limited number)

Some of the other colors I mentioned could be used as a limited production special edition color so some people can have a unique colored car. But you got to have lots of your main base colors and maybe offer more as a limited edition color and if it was real popular it could work it's way into the main choices of colors but I think cars and trucks nowadays should offer more color choices

I say offering around 14 colors would be great to see

i want to see some bright true colors. A deep, somewhat metallic, electron blue would be sweet

As far as the selection goes, it needs to be better than the fourth gen. The only color availible from 93-97 that i liked is black. There was a nice blue availible one year i think too. other than that they were all bland and boring.

I think it would be neat if they offered in addition to the "standard colors" that every car comes in, a "continuously evolving color."

I.E. You would have 1 color that they would only do in 3-6 month runs, then replace it with another color, ad infinitum. They could call it the "special edition color" or something. That would give people an opportunity to own a unique color if they wanted, and may even motivate some purchases by offering a unique "gotta have it" color that will also be uncommon. It would not add the same cost as adding "more colors" since you wouldn't have any more than normal in total.

If they wanted to make things easy, they could just use other colors in the GM paint catalog. If they wanted to make it really neat, they could dabble in colors like oranges, purples, yellows, "grabber" colors (like 60's chryslers), color flopping paints, and candy and pearl finishes.

I'm sure people would at least pay a couple hundred dollars more to be unique.

I think Quasar Blue is a pretty cool color on the early 4 gen camaros, There's a V6 Camaro that color here in town I am interested in.

Re: How many color choices should hte 5th Gen Camaro have?

the poll is skewed sort of
i can pick 10 colors on 2 options
nevertheless, i'd like to see a minimum of 9

course if they sell like impalas, all we'll really need is silver

Re: How many color choices should hte 5th Gen Camaro have?

10-12 choices would be good for me. What would really be nice is to have a decent paint job in whatever color you chose. It's really surprising to see everything from a cavalier to a suburban to a z06 exhibit orange peel. I would think any car over $25,000 should have a decent, non-orange peel, paint job. This is the best I can do with the paint job GM sold me. (The mirror image in the paint should have the same quality as the mirror image in the black out IMHO).

Yes, this 'decent paint job' does leave out the cavalier, but ya get what ya pay for

The more colors the better.

Choice is good.

Plus if more than just 2 cars (Camaro and Firebird) are produced at the plant where the new Camaro will be produced (Camaro + other Zeta's), there is even more reason to have additional colors at the plant.

Other than more colors, I'd like to see PAINTED stripes offered from the factory.
