Do you have any kids?

I knew that was coming No, I don't...point taken.

Although the seat motors on the '06's are a lot faster

Are you serious? Jesus christ it's like a comedy routine when people get in my back seat.

Agreed...a bit embarrasing sometimes. I am serious though...they were upgraded for '06

Is it really? It seems the same to me.

You know, when I drive a MC SS, I can't help but think what a nicer package it would be to me, if it were RWD and had a manual trans. When I drive a GTO, I think how nice it would be if it had a rear seat and trunk like the MC.

The 06 did get faster seat motors... supposedly it makes a big difference.

Do you have kids?
I have two, and they are very happy in the back seats of my GTO, they have much better visibility out than they did in my 95 Formula for example (not to mention way more legroom).

Speaking of seats - I hardly ever run the motors to move them. I typically keep the front passenger seat partly forward on its tracks and the tykes just tip it to get in/out.

Another feature seldom mentioned on the GTO seats - the "Smart Seat" capability. If you keep the seat in a certain position and want to move it with the waist-level convenience switch in the backrest, it will only transit backward til it hits the position it was just in (like if you move it forward so someone can get in, then power it back again on the tracks). Hold the button for two seconds more, and Smart Seat is overridden so the seat can motor all the way back on its track. Very handy, and very under-appreciated (like the GTO in general ).

I test drove a GXP BTW when shopping for my GTO. The GXP is a splendid car. But when it comes to true strip/track and road performance there is really no comparison, the GTO would own it in just about anything but snowy weather.

I have 2 kids and a GTO, and it's not a problem. Admitedly, they are 5 and 6 and can climb in and out by themselves. The biggest problem is transferring their booster seats to my car. The kids love riding in "Daddy's Fast Car" as opposed to "mommy's slow car" .

Alot of people complain about the GTO's small trunk. However, I find it almost perfect. It isn't deep, but it is tall. Also, a pizza box fits in it just right.
