Haven't heard anything about who was #1 in 2006. Surely the numbers are in, last year at this time Chevrolet had a huge #1 campaign going on.

Ford beat them, but both of their sales were way down, so it's a dubious victory.

Wow thats hard to believe considering Ford has nothing going for it except F-trucks and Mustang.

Then again, I bet Chevy truck sales were down, because of hold outs for the all new truck this year.

The question was Ford vs. Chevy ... not GM.

And Fusion. Again, Ford won because their sales "only" dropped 8%, versus 9% or whatever from Chevy.

And I think you're right about the trucks.

175,000 Taurus' dont hur either, lol. They only sold 342 in December.

Besides that, Fusion and Five-Hundred sold about a quarter million units.

In 2006, Ford beat out Chevy by about 17,000 units. So close!
In 2005, Chevy beat Ford by about 22,000 units. Also very close!

Gee, if only Chevy had some sort of sporty RWD V8-powered car to chip in 75-80k units per year ...
