California Highway Patrol typically orders the greatest numbers of police cruisers of any single agency, and they ordered 100 Camaros the final year of production. Not exactly enough to contribute to a carline's business case.

Even the Mustang SSPs from 1982 to 1993 sold barely more than 15,000 cars total over the years. The large sedans (ie: Caprice or Crown Vic) sell way more, though.
