Hot Hyundai hatch. No kidding!

None of this matters. All of the wishful thinking in the world won't change the facts. If Hyundai puts this car out and has a 200HP model available, it will sell.
1. It's going to be cheaper than anything in it's segment.
2. It'll have Hyundai's 10yr warranty
The 10-year warranty alone is enough to max out most people's "perceived quality" meter.
Surprising that a FWD econ-box gets no love from a Camaro site...
I don't really like it myself, but I can see that it will sell. Too many people here have their RWD-V8 goggles on to know a popular car when they see it.

I think that car looks great, but is that the only pic available of it? I'd like to see the interior.
I think that it looks like a combination of Ford Focus hatch with a Scion tC front end, albeit much cooler looking headlights (they remind me somewhat of the headlights on the new M35/M45 from Infiniti).
Hyundai has really been working hard on their initial quality, though I think their resale value still sucks and their long-term dependability of their newer stuff is unproven, as their older stuff wasn't so great long-term.

If they're making a lil pocket hot hatch thats styled like that (and lets say they stick their 4g63 knockoff and/or AWD) or give it near 200hp in some form and even FWD, yes it will sell.
But... if they're gonna pull this on the Accent - what about the next generation Tiburon?

Re: Hot Hyundai hatch. No kidding!
I dont find the car to be anything spectacular, it just seems a little to similar to the Focus and the Matrix, but it will definitely be a hit with the younger crowd as well as being a popular tuner car.
Re: Hot Hyundai hatch. No kidding!
i really can't say anything bad about it. for the market it will be for, it's a cool little car. i mean, even the Tiburon isn't bad looking to me, just not my thing.
Re: Hot Hyundai hatch. No kidding!
I like it alot. Hyundai has been very impressive lately.
I'd buy that little hatch as long as it had a decent (180+hp) auto model available. The thing that kills me about all the new neat little imports is that they make no auto performance models. I guess I'm just too lazy...
