Honda SUT

Looks like Honda wants to start a new acronym - SUT. Too close to **** for me, but whatever. It stands for Sport Utility Truck. The bed area reminds me of a Bronco with it's top off. I like it somewhat, but the jury is still deliberating.

Honda SUT
Yep, debuted at the Detroit auto show. As a matter of fact most of the Japanese and Korean makers had suv/truck concepts. It appears they are going to try to take the last profitable market from the American mfg's.

Re: Honda SUT

Would this be a different acronym than the Hummer H2 SUT?

Re: Honda SUT

Heh, news to me! So Hummer has one too. Interesting. I question the usability of the H2's bed though. Looks pretty small

Re: Honda SUT

You are aware of the Avalanche and Escalade EXT, right? The "SUT" body style is nothing new, and I believe Chevy even referred to the Avalance as an SUT when it was introduced (or maybe they called it the UUT "ultimate utility truck" or some ghey marketing term, but many in th press have called it an SUT), even though it isn't in the "model name" like Hummer H2 SUT or Honda SUT concept.

Do you just mean the actual use of the term is news to you, or this concept of a pickup bed built into an SUV body is news to you?

Re: Honda SUT

The Avalance is a SUT and has been out since 2001

The Honda pickup is based on a FWD minivan chasis

It's butt-ugly! Should be a nice stablemate to the Element pukemobile.

I thought I had a pic of it from when I went to the show, but I must have deleted it. You'd never expect to find an H on something that size - it was huge!

Great, should outsell Ford and Chevy combined.
