This is about 45 minutes away from my hometown and I know a lot of those 6000 applications were probably from Connersville since we just lost the Visteon plant (well in September we will lose it, but you get the point)

Honda officially broke ground today for the $550 million plant in Greensburg, Ind., it said last year it would build.
The automaker said production of its 2009 model Civic would start at the factory in late 2008.
Located about 50 miles southeast of Indianapolis, the plant will have an annual capacity of 200,000 vehicles. It will be Honda's seventh auto plant in North America.
Honda said it has not yet begun hiring production workers for the Greensburg plant, but did receive 6,000 responses to its advertisements for an unspecified number of administrative, IT, engineering and other nonproduction positions.
