Homework help!!!!
Ok I know this isn’t exactly the right place for this post. However I converse with you guys here in the 5th gen forum more than anywhere else and I know you guys are knowledgeable and creative. So I’m asking for a little help.
But anyway I’m writing a tribute speech for class and I’ve decided to do it on the Camaro.
So far I have….
“It roared to life in 1967.…”
I need to get info on some of the major accomplishments this car has achieved.
I want to talk about this car like it's a person,
I’ve kind of hit a creative brick wall tonight,
I don’t know where to start about this car. I want to sum up 35 years of this cars great history and try to move my class. I also want to add something about its great return. I just don’t where to start.
Anyone have some ideas or anything? I don’t want you guys to write it for me, but some ideas would be cool. All input will greatly appreciated.
Thanks guys!
Oh I’ll post the speech once I’m done with it later tonight.

try looking up the great TRANS-AM and NHRA history and the "tuners" of the sixties also you can mention the last year of the big block (72 or 73) the begining of the smog era plus the use of the eundura bumbers plus the rubber ones.you can also talk about the possible fwd 3rd gen that was latter changed back to rwd.try the IROC series and the models that honored it.then talk about they went from the 3rd gen to the 4th and how they improved it and kept enginnering cost down. then top it all off by talking about the return of the ss models and the return of the "tuner"ones.hope this helps.
Ok I threw this together in about 40 minutes. I hate writing speeches. Its not done, but its a start...
The Chevrolet Camaro was born in a time when muscle cars ruled the streets.
Since it roared to life in September of 1966 it was simply an amazing machine.
The Camaro has over the years defined every aspect of the sports car.
Powerful, stylish, affordable a definite thoroughbred of American pony cars.
It defined the phrase “Win on Sunday and sell on Monday” For Chevrolet for over 3 decades as it graced the tracks of the Trans-am and NHRA.
Chevrolet produced it to be an affordable 2+2 sports car next to the Corvette, and succeeded amazingly!
Its hard to go anywhere and not see one in a garage, driveway, stoplight or even tearing up the asphalt on the drag strip.
The first Gen Camaro in the late 60’s was a gar guys dream. You could almost get any option from the factory you could possibly think of. Including a powerful big block. Names like SS, RS and especially Z28 echo loudly from this time in car history.
The 2nd gen Camaro defied the smog ear of the 70’s by staying true to itself with great styling and handling while other muscle cars became econoboxes and shadows of their once powerful selves.
When the 80’s hit the Chevrolet engineers blew the world away with the third gen Camaro. The styling was revolutionary for its time. They had more power once more and even a sexy convertible again!
In 1993 the 4th generation Camaro was unleashed on to the street,
once again out to prove itself as the greatest pony car once again.
With a stout 275 hp LT1 Corvette motor it easily ate up the competition.
Throughout the 90s to this very day, the Camaro improved in power and improved overall to be the best bang for your buck on the car market. And the best Camaro to perform ever.
Its hard not to fall in love with this glorious car. Car enthusiasts and just normal people making the daily commute alike have praised this car for its numerous superior qualities.
The Camaro ……….
Any ideas on where to go from here? I’m so scatter brained on this Tribute speech. I feel like its unorganized or something with no passion. Grr

And of course “once again” it proved itself as the greatest pony car to date.
With a stout 275 hp LT1 Corvette motor it easily ate up the competition.

Nevertheless today the Camaro is no more. GM has ceased its production and put it on hiatus.
Some say one day we will see a great return of this legend.
Yet today we praise this car for what is was. The greatest sports car of its time.
