Re: Holiday thoughts........

clarification!

By "bigger sleigh" I meant that there are a WHOLE BUNCH OF YOU who are gonna want a special "something" for Christmas in a couple of years.....has nothing to do with the size of the car....but it's kinda hard to deliver oh, say, 10,000 of those lil suckers in a standard sized sleigh..........

(sounds like 'ol Santa may need the help of Pratt and Whitney .....) (and perhaps Boeing..........)

It's good to see RP posting again. And of course the hints are much appreciated.

SEE!!??!! He said it again...a COUPLE of years.....that means late '06 as an '07.........(well in my little twisted mind anyway)

Hmmmm....that 10k number sounds like a "niche" car to me........

OK. I know I'm not only reading between the lines, but between the letters......but throw me a bone here, we just got 24", yes, 24" of fuggin' snow (which I detest) and I'm really bored....

Wow. It was cold here this morning too. It got all the way down to 69°. I'll think warm thoughts for ya.

Nope, I was reding in between the lines too. If they actually do mean something I like the first hint but don't like the 2nd.

Fellas-

Who really cares how many they build... just so long as they do! And just so long as I get my hands on one!

By the way Scott, can you answer this question? In general, how seriously do anniversary dates for marquee brands affect the sense of urgency to bring products to market? Obviously, it is important to the enthusiasts, but is there a business case for this with respect to the development timeline? Maybe you can reference Corvette (or other makes) to illustrate the relative importance placed on special edition/anniversary vehciles. Thanks!

As a side-point to this question... it should be noted that the GTO came back for it's 40th anniversary in 2004... don't know how much, if at all, that played into bringing the car out for this model year...

Re: Holiday thoughts........

Like I said...let the speculation fly

I am sure any 5th gen will sell more than 10k. Lame-duck '04 GTOs have sold more than that. I wouldn't worry.

Scott, I'm still pulling for my '07 5.3 base Camaro I can almost envision it...
