Holiday thoughts........
Holiday thoughts........
As we celebrate the Holiday season and approach another new year, I’d like to thank each of you for your continued enthusiasm for our cars.....and also for your friendship. While it’s been over two years since the last Camaro and Firebird rolled off the line at Ste. Therese, the Fcar community remains strong. And being that we’re in the midst of the holiday season, I think I can share one tidbit with you: There’s an elf somewhere north of the artic circle that is putting out bids for a larger sleigh....seems he may need it in a couple of years..........
You know, It’s hard to imagine that not too long ago, we didn’t have the opportunity to “log on” and chat with friends. The advent of websites such as this have certainly made the world smaller in many respects. I’m hopeful that we’ll each take stock of what a great gift the internet may be....and use it to better our lives -- and make friendships stronger.
Speaking of “world” -- let’s not forget our men and women in other countries fighting for freedom. They’re sacrifices are many; but especially so at this time of year. Let’s all say a prayer for them...that they’ll be safe -- and more importantly -- that they’ll be home soon.
Regardless of your beliefs and religion, this is the season for giving. It’s a time for appreciation for what we have. It’s a time to look back, perhaps, and remember seasons past...but it’s also a time for looking forward. Please enjoy these next weeks with family and friends. Enjoy the spirit of the season, but I’d be remiss if once again, I didn’t warn of the dangers of drinking and driving. Please...don’t make one of our cars or trucks a lethal weapon. Furthermore, let’s not forget the importance of safety belts. I may sound like a broken record, but if it saves one of you...or one of your loved ones, then I’m glad to be a broken record........(oh, yeah...for you younger ones....we called them records...not CDs!!!)
On behalf of all of us at General Motors, may you have a safe and happy Holiday season and may the new year bring you all that is good.
Scott

Perfect time of year to slip in a "keep the faith" type comment.
Happy holidays to all........

Red-
Thanks for touching base with all of us. As an Air Force member, I appreciate your prayers for those deployed right now. While I seldom post, I've been a "sand bagger" here since this board began... and over the years your visits have made a world of difference to those of us "keeping the faith." Please continue to let us know, as you did a few months ago with your homework assignment, if we can do anything else to help the cause. Best wishes to to and your family this Christmas season.
By the way, could you let Santa know that I'd like my 2007 CAMARO (not Chevelle) in Hugger Orange?

Thanks for joining us for the holiday season Red.
It's also good to know that as of today we know about the Trailblazer SS you hinted at a while back. Thanks for your dedication and resilience over the years.
