Perhaps V8 versions of the STS might appeal to Aussies? Perhaps not? The STS isn't much more spacious than CTS and it doesn't come anywhere close to the dignity of even short wheelbase version of the 7-series, S-class or Jaguar XJ. Overall, the STS looks and feels like a slightly nicer version CTS - exactly what it is.
Did I forget to mention the SRX "crossover?" It's more expensive than a Mercedes ML in the United States. The SRX looks more like a CTS station wagon (if such a thing existed) than a luxury SUV. That's part of the problem with the Sigma based Cadillacs - they all pretty much look alike.
That leaves the XLR - an uglier, slower and more expensive offshoot of the plastic bodied Corvette.

The XLR (though grossly overpriced) isn't slow, and is perhaps the ultimate mean looking car on the road!

Re: Holden to sell Cadillacs.
I spent a little over a week in a SRX . Its a wonderful vehicle . I wouldnt ever buy a SUV , but I would buy a SRX . It has all the utility , style ect. , and is blessed with that AWESOME sigma handling . I felt more like I was driving a great handling tall car , which IMO ...is a plus
Re: Holden to sell Cadillacs.
Cadillac would need to complement the luxury cars with express versions to seriously challenge the German marques. I don't think an LS2 version of CTS-V would do Cadillac's image any harm downunder.

A note to GM: We also love the C6, when are we Aussies going to get it?
