I agree with Darth, if the GTO is supposed to compete with BMWs instead of Mustangs, it should have more luxury features.

Yes, GTO comes with a lot of stuff, but I feel it's missing a lot fo things that should be included:

Heated Seats.
Dual-Zone climate control.
Sunroof.
OnStar.
HUD.
HID headlamps.
Electrochromatic Mirrors.
Compass.
External Temp. Meter
Navigation would be nice.
I'd love to see a heated steering wheel on it too...

I love my car so far, but thought these were things that shold be at least available, but frankly, included... at least a good chunk of the more basic stuff...
Some of those are either standard on the Monaro or optional. Blame Pontiac for not having them. I would add 18" wheels to the list.... I think those 17" wheels look crap compared to the Monaro 18" wheels.

Whats wrong with a nice high optioned flashy camaro? I swear some of you guys love the rattleing interior and the cheapness of how the car looked. Yeah it was a bargain sports car at the z28 level. However, thats why they make levels. My next camaro if i choose to get one will be an SS, loaded out the ***. Yeah it will be heavier but chances are the motor will be more powerful. So it equals out. I think the days of the stripper sports car is over. The imports are raiseing the bar. GM cant keep produceing crappy interiors and sloppy styleing. That is what they have had labled to them for the past 20 years. Now i like the direction they are heading by trying to break out of that 20 year old mold and move on. Chrystler is putting together better and better interior options and it seems to be more flashy but the public is loveing it. Such as the new magnum and the 300.

I dont get most of you people, unless you planned on ripping out the interior or makeing it strictly a drag car why wouldnt you want your ride to be comfortable and eye appealing as well as durable? You want a tuned down crappy interior get a 3rd gen.

If GM dropps the ball on this one...then my maro days will soon be MOPAR days

Ya, that is a great point... I know that Monaro offers a lot of this... and I understand Pontiac left some off to keep costs in line on a limited run vehicle... I just think they should have included some of it.

The issue is how much it would have raised the MSRP, I am sure...

I guess I just feel that some of that stuff could have been included, especially if it was an "across the board" kind of thing, at not a superhigh cost increase... ESPECIALLY on the componants that replace other compnents such as the upgraded HVAC, as opposed to components that are add-ons, like a sunroof.
