HHR / PT Cruiser Image

This might interest some of you all. It's a side by side HHR/PT Cruiser Image I found that shows the size difference between the two.

Re: HHR / PT Cruiser Image

PT has a new front end & tail lights for 2006.

Advertisements for them should be in the next month's car rags.

Looks alot like the current one, but with more expressive headlights, more modern bumper, and the hood has a bit more crease.

HHR still looks better, though.

Damn that makes the Crusier look small....

Love that HHR, pics just don't do it justice.

Re: HHR / PT Cruiser Image

That's a great context shot. I've seen printed images as well as a few on the street, but have yet to actually make a comparison.

This will be a hot contender if/when we trade in the Tahoe sometime in the spring...... Yep, succombing to fuel prices........

Re: HHR / PT Cruiser Image

I think the HHR and the Equinox will compete more with each other then the HHR/PT.

IMO the PT is too small...

Re: HHR / PT Cruiser Image

anyone have the weights for each one? the HHR looks unbelievably huge next to a PT.

EDIT: HHR ~ 3200lbs; PT ~3100lbs

I'd have expected there to be a weight difference of more than ~100lbs between the two given how much bigger the HHR is.

That pic is a bit deceptive. It looks bigger than it really is because of the position in the photo. Last month's issue of MT has photos of them side by side and it is not as big of a difference as in that pic. I have the PT as a company car and think the 2006 got uglier. I like the HHR way more, on top of that it's a Chevy

Re: HHR / PT Cruiser Image

Yeah, the picture really surprised me. I've seen a number of HHR's on the road and while they may be bigger than the PT, from certain angles they look small.

If you get a chance, go to a dealership and check one out. The styling is deceiving. It's really a small car chassis. I was behind one the other day and it almost looked like a hatch-back. Remember, a Camaro is over 194" long. The HHR is about a foot and a half shorter.

Took an HHR for a quick ride yesterday. It is definitely #1 on our Envoy replacement list.

Re: HHR / PT Cruiser Image

When I first heard about them I didn't like them but I saw one on the road the other day and they are not bad. I would never buy one, but I can see people who would.
