Does anyone know the redline on a viper? The ebay pic that solved it has a 5500 redline from what i can see. Did they ever up it to a 6k-6200 redline?

 

That's what I think.

It also looks like something that would come off a Kappa.

 

I believe when it went to 505 cubes a few years ago it went to the 6k redline.

 

So is it the Viper or not

I think your right. I got to drive in my dads friends viper once and those guages look familiar.

 

I've come to the opinion that all these things that look like conspiracy at GM (keeping people confused over Camaro) or even a grand plan (small publicity leaks) are just symptoms of the organization. By this I'm including subcontracted publicity services, certain parts not operating in sync with the rest of the organization, etc..

 

I posted this in the thread I started about this, I guess everyone was too stuck on wishing it was a new Camaro...

With all of the Corvette overtones in the intro, perhaps this was just a message that the Viper is in trouble as Z06 or "Blue Devil" are on the way.

 

It's a 1992-95 Viper RT/10 dash. Guaranteed. No argument. I owned one for 6 years. Look at the pictures.

Still most likely a mistake by the agency that put the piece together.

 

Agreed. I didn't own one for 6 years ( ), but it is definitely a Viper dash. Look at the comparison pics centric posted.

Personally think it is just sloppy work by the advertising agency.

 

Luckily 99.99999999999999% of the viewing public won't pick up on it, because look how long it took the local internet sleuths to figure it out.
