Here's the mysterious dash pics for you guys

I was at the game, so I had my sister tape it so I could watch it later. For the record, it was not taped for re-broadcast, or profit, just so that I could watch it one time and then copy over the tape. With that legality aside, here are still images of the mysterious dash.

It honestly doesn't look like much to me. I watch the whole intro a few times, and there was nothing besides this that looked new or original or un-ordinary.

As for posting the whole video, I don't know the legalities of that. Plus, my sister used a crappy VCR with a crappy 20 times used tape. I had to capture the images on slow motion, because the tape is so jumpy. It is so bad, my camcorder had a hard time taking it off the VCR tape.

It doesn't look like a new interior but instead it looks like an old Chevy with white face guages. I would also say that because of the steering wheel which looks to have metal in the center.

Heck, to me it almost looks like a sheetmetal type of flat dash, with some gauges stuck in it. It sure doesn't scream 2005 concept dash to me.

Too blurry for my peepers, I couldn't gleen anything from it! Back to waiting!

What, why is this thought to be a camaro dash did they say something to that effect or are people really reaching out there?

At a quick glance that reminds me of the gauges in my old 79 Z28. Pretty sure the second gens had that flat panel, recessed guage look.

The other guage on the far top right almost makes it more 'bird like though, camaros have never had guages strung out in right field like that, guages were always front and center where they are supposed to be. Then again, maybe thats the only guages out there and i'm just imagining a line of gauges across the dash.

I am leaning to both sides with this one. For one, the metal center of the steering wheel screams original 1st gen, but at the same time the white face gauges scream retro 5th gen. Who knows, Chevy might've REALLY gone all out on the retro and made steering wheels with metal center hubs? Chances are though, that I'd say this is probably not as significant as we think (unfortunately).

Camaro was featured on the video, but not at the time the dash was shown. It was shown independently from any cars featured on the video. The video concentrated on the 57 Chevy, the new Vette and a 69? Camaro.

Due to that, I think there was speculation that this unknown dash was from a 200? Camaro, since it was not from the Vette or the 57 Chevy.

Holy crap I hope that's NOT the Camaro dash! It looks more like a Buick with the design and color scheme. The redline is at 6000 it looks like, so I wonder if that is an indication of anything or possible engine chioce.

In the video when the gauge moves up to 6000, a engine can be heard revving up.

Re: Here's the mysterious dash pics for you guys

I think the restro dash in the new mustang might be my single biggest turn-off about that car.

With that said, these don't look nearly so bad. Doens't seem nearly as deep of a mineshaft to see the guages, and the fonts look modern and easily readable with a decent range of motion.

btw, looks like a 6200 rpm redline, the first tick or two past 6 is black or at least not red.

now I'll be the first to admit I don't know jack about engines or anything of the sort, but in my 3.4 v6 isn't the redline at like 5000 or 6000rpm? Wouldn't a v8's redline be higher?
