I for one hope my personal experiences with Mazda don't continue. Lincoln sure wouldn't want it.

My family had a '01 626 v6 Lx and and all the goodies. Long story short, the 2.5l v6 blew up for no apparen't reason at 15k miles. Mind you, we took very good care of this car. Mazda wouldn't take the hit, and we paid out of pocket to replace the engine and then took a hit to trade the whole piece of crap in. I believe as I was told, that the v6 motor doesn't use some sort of bearing where the cam sits. and because of this... even a slight lack of oiling there will cause the cam to seize... and boom... there you go.

Maybe we were lucky... but if lincoln gets this time of equipment then they are in big trouble. If they do that type of service. It's the end, no doubt.

But Lincoln is not following Caddy.Lincoln doesnt have performance in its mind right now.It has a lil to do with the article at the top of this page buddy.
Cadillac had a solid plan and solid execution, Lincoln has hopes and front wheel drive.

It seems to me that it is better to engineer down a great chassis for a more premium car to a less expensive car(sigma) than to try to make better a chassis that is in an inexpensive automobile(Mazda 6 platform) and not intended for such duty. We will see.
