Where the hell are the Zeta cars? Not even production, but at NAIAS. I mean, ZO6 and STS-V are awesome, but they are both well clear of most of our price ranges. Sitting next to ZO6 and C6-R is going to be the new HHR, which looks nice, but I couldnt care less about, the freshened Monte Carlo, which I kinda like, but wish was an all new model, and the freshened Impala, which I hate and think is a horrible throwback to the bad-old-days of badge engineering and Lumina-sameness. I mean, Dodge and Chrysler are solidifying their grip on the fullsize sedan/wagon market, with no signs of getting any weaker, and all we get is two LONG overdue freshenings of Chevys bread and butter? Did Chevrolet shoot their proverbial load on one car, neglecting others this year? Or do they have significant announcments to make between now and next January? It just seems that we should have seen the Buick zeta car at this show, at least a preproduction concept, if not a production unvieling.

Maybe GM didn't want to steal any thunder from the Z06. I keep thinking about last year and the trio of kappas. That was an awesome time. I was wishing for a show that was just as exciting but...
Don't get me wrong, I like what we got this year but it doesn't live up to the past few years.

As far as the rest stealing the thunder... most of Zeta seems to be shaping up to be more along the lines of appliances or mid-level cars of some interest, but I kinda doubt they would steal the thunder from a super-hot Corvette and the STSV.
In a word, now's not yet the time.
