Not that I agree with him in any way about that, but it seems that parts of California have a lot of race tracks while it takes a long time to trek to the track for a lot of others. But still, its much "cooler" to street race for a lot of these kids, a lot of them probably wouldn't even take advantage of the track if there were one closer.
And the winner of the "Hit-the-nail-on-the-head" award is......

The kid was simply being a whiner. "The nearest track is an hour away, so there aren't many tracks in California"?? Pleeez! I bet he wouldn't say there was a shortage of women in California if he had to drive an hour to see his girlfriend.

People street race because it's cool, there's no real rules, no required safety equptment, no safety inspections, no minimum age requirements (most tracks require a minimum age of 18), and it's not santioned.

Remember when you were young? Legal=boring. Illegal=cool.

Im sure if you had the money you would get your car back. Want a 99% chance of getting probation on a ticket? Just ask for a trail by Jury. The judge will offer probation. Its the only time the state will spend more money than the fine is worth.

In IL and TX they have to witness and catch both people in order to prove street racing.

My major problem with traffic tickets is they are not safty driven. Its all about the money. They could care less about your safety. I have had a few tickets dismissed and the state didnt pay me for my loss of wages, transportation cost ect...

This is kinda off base, but have any of you seen the Scandelous street racing vid? Check me out in the extras section under test drive
