This was the impression I was under. They say no haggle, but in reality that isn't exactly how it works.

Saturn is free to sell at whatever price they choose. However the difference is that when the brand was first created and the dealers chosen, they knew this was the pricing strategy going in. So the dealers were all more or less in favour of it. However, try forcing no-haggle pricing on 4000+ Chevrolet dealers, most of whom have been in business for the better part of a century and whose sales tactics are pretty much entrenched, and you're going to see far less support.

I know the owner of the dealership I worked at said that GM was wanting to do it across the board. He wasn't a big proponet (sp?) of it.

He has since sold his dealership that had been in his family for over 90 years if that tells you anything how the car industry is going now.
