Huh? SRXs are built in Lansing, MI alongside the CTS. The plant boys must've just been monkeying around with a couple there in Oshawa.

Well, thats what a SRX is suppose to be.. a station wagon crossed with a SUV.

If I was in the market for a big caddie, I'd be lining up for a CTSv or waiting to check out the new STS..

I'm not sure what you saw, or thought you saw, but the SRX is definitely not produced in Oshawa (trust me on this, I work for the company). The Oshawa car plants produce the Impala, Monte Carlo, Regal/Century, and new Grand Prix. SRX, since it shares its platform with the CTS, is built in the CTS's plant in Michigan.

Also, as noted by Z28x, the SRX has been in production since late-summer and its volumes do not require two plants.

You probably saw some test mules or developmental models. Since Oshawa is the head of GM of Canada, it's not unusual for them to have to do special testing or development on all GM cars to tailor them to our market.
