Just to let you know, the VIN you have is for a Grand Prix. A 2000 Grand Prix

Also, you do not have an allotment and have not been prefrenced as of yet for a GTO. I won't even touch on the fact the price you are asking for (about $12,000 over projected price).

Just letting you know that it's border-line fraud, and is putting a bad taste in the mouth of consumers regarding GM's efforts to win back faith with alot of potential buyers, not only of GTO, but of all GM models and brands.

I have sent off an e-mail to Pontiac and GM bringing this to their attention.

Yep, I sent it to a Pontiac media rep, and to someone a bit higher up in GM who might be interested in something like this.

I had nothing else better to do at 6 AM before work.

Good!

And I hope GM makes them yank it, and punishes them for it by taking away their GTO allocations if they would get some.

They need to hold dealers responsible if they do things to tarnish GM's image.

Like it or not, most consumers see GM and their dealerships as one organization.

Got a reply from the scalper (I won't even call him a dealer). Check this out:

Oh by the way I can order GTO's now, they will be here by Christmas, all one has to do is pick a color and I can ask any price in the world for the car. I am not trying to win anyone back to GM, this will be a car that creates a high demand, dealers will be lucky to get 2 nationwide, and again I can mark a vehicle up as I like.
Of course I forwarded his response to a really helpful, well placed guy at GM who will likely forward it up the chain to the right people.

I'm really curious as to what type of service this place gives it's customers.

In case anyone want's to send comments, the e-mail address is: sales@drivedavis.com , and the point of contact is: David M. Bottino at Davis Pontiac/Isuzu, 922, Second Street Pike, Richboro, PA 18954 Phone #: 1-888-527-9924 (ex:126)

What an arrogant fool.

This person has zero customer relations skills... yes he can mark up any car over sticker... I wonder if he'll have the same attitude if you want to buy a new Aztek or any other car on his lot?

At best, he comes off as a lying, slimey jerk.

Keep us up on anything more you hear from him or who you are forwarding this stuff to!

What did the slimebag have to say about the fact that he is advertising the wrong VIN#?

This whole situation got me thinking of how much better I think the car/truck buying process would be if the manufacturers owned and ran the 'dealerships'... cut out the middleman.

By doing so, the manufacturers would still be able to select knowledgable people who care about the cars, like Jason E... but trim some of the slimey fat from the underbelly!

The car makers would have direct control of how their products were sold, displayed, whatever...

Needless to say, he WILL get whatever he wants for the car most likely!

Heck, I remember when PS2 first hit the market, guys that were lucky enough to get some REAL early sold their units for upto $14,000 on ebay. I remember seeing multiple units go for $12,000 and a ton of them for $1,000+ !!!!!

Money is no object to some in this world, unfortunately for those of us who work for a living, this guy seems like an *** to us.
