GTO Production may be doubled?

30,000 is still a low number for a new model... Initial demand will most likely still outnumber total GTO production.

That's a lot of difference from the 2004 GTO, which is built on a relatively new arcitechture. The 2004 GTO is also a first year for the model.
Even if I do not think the GTO's styling is right, I can be pretty sure they will sell out even at 30,000 units.
Kinda the same of what I heard, though I was under the impression it was a couple of years down the road.
Believe it or not, if that happens, GMNA may as well take over Monaro. Consider this, Monaro sells only about 5000 cars per year! If GM up's production of GTO to 30,000 annually, only 1/6 or only 17% of all V-coupe sales will be for the Australian or non US market.
Between the US & other markets, about 85% of all production of that one model will be exported!
