Holden's new Zeta cars start coming out in 2006, and the GTO is scheduled to be replaced NLT 2007 (as a 2008). North America's deal for Monaros is only for 3 model seasons (when Monaro will be discontinued) making the final year, which takes it to the end of 2006, right when Holden stops producing the current "V" car.
Holden is most certainly making enough money with the GTO deal to reskin the Monaro, and they are known for doing things for a fraction of what North America does, so maybe they will.
Holden made the entire Monaro for just $60 million, and it was going to be profitable selling just 5,000 a year for 3 years. Throw in GTO's 18,000 over 3 years, plus a 2 year extention on Monaro production, and you get the feeling Holden needs a couple extra bank vaults to hold the extra cash.
