Good time to buy a Mach1.
I'm simply amazed at how affordable Mach1's are right now.
Last summer they were going for sticker PLUS a $5,000 dealer mark up. Ever since the '05 Mustang was introduced, it seems that demand for the SN-95 Mustang has dried up.
You can probably get an '04 Mach1 right now for invoice and a $3,000 rebate. Less than 24g's! For a Mach1...WOW! A local dealer was advertising an '03 Mach1 with 750 miles on it for 21k and some change.

I know people always tend to hold out for a new model no matter what it is, but you'd think people would be going crazy getting the better looking ones while they still can. People always realize that after the fact. And I guess there's always used cars too.

Is depreciation a good thing or a bad thing though? Can't be for those that want to ditch their "limited edition" Mach 1's for the new Mustang (which does absolutely nothing for me but that makes no difference eh? )

I test drove a yellow one last summer at a local Ford dealer.
The saleman was trying to tell me that there is no room for movement in price and that if I don't want it, someone else will be right behind me to buy it.
It's still there.

Depreciation is very good if you're looking to drop <$25K for a new Mach1 this year.

About 2 months of production left in the SN-95. If a Mach 1 is too pricey, you can (with rebates) get a GT for around $19K!
It's almost worth getting one as a beater, until the 5th gen Z/28 comes out.

From what I hear, the engine in the MachI makes an honest 300 HP. Of course the auto tranny isn't quiet as good as a 4L60E. I know the manuals can get mid 13's in the 1/4.
