the '07 "classics" have been out for months...... I had a hard time deciding if I should buy my '06 but looks like it might be a while before you can get a rcsb with the A6 and 6.2L

I like the GMC truck a lot
It looks mean.
I like the Silverado better too now that I see it from different angles. The Ext Cab looks much better than the Crew Cab.
It will have the TrailBlazer 4.2L ~290HP engine as a base motor. the 4.3L V6 is dead.
The other engines they quoted are for the last generation of Silverado, 5.3L H.O. and LQ9. The new 5.3L is 320HP and 340tq while the new 6.0L should be 355HP

Better truck? Probably.
Sad that the badge engineering will probably never go away even though you keep hearing that it will.

Plus GMC gets the 6.2L/6-speed combo, Chevy doesn't.

Even if the headlamps are different (they could be, but they look very similar) it looks like the fit in the same opening shape, and the grill and lower grille are all the same openings/shapes, etc.
Hopefully they'll look more different when more pictures become available.

I would expect the SS Silverado to get the same powertrain, though hopefully it will be available on the regular cab, and the 6 speed could be a stick.
Of course if the SS gets the SC 6.2 then there may be no need for the 6.2 NA.

Something interesting to note:
TrailBlazer SS AWD = 14/17mpg
Cadillac Esclade AWD = 13/19mpg (and that is without AFM/DoD)
L92 > LS2?

I really don't care, since the 4.8L small block is a small upcharge away. Might as well be the base engine, as far as I'm concerned, but the V6 gets them a few extra CAFE points...I think the V6 is pretty much only bought in "WT" (work truck) level models. So if I look at it that way, the 4.8L outguns anyone's base V6, with probably very similar fuel economy.
