Exclamation GM's July sales figures, with one interesting fact.

Chevrolet sold more Impalas alone in July than all the cars sold by the entire Pontiac Motor division combined!

(go to news, click on sales production data, click on "August 1st...", scroll down 1/4 the way. Sorry, no direct link)

Pontiac is having problems selling cars. I saw an article this morning on the 2004 Grand Prix and how much better it is over the 2003. Only problem is Pontiac has built a ton of 2003 Grand Prixs and can't seem to find buyers for them.

Oops.

Holy crap, that Grand Prix figure is surprising as hell. I guess the only people buying them are from northern Indiana, because I see those EVERYWHERE.

The CTS is still kick'n azz.
Look at the Cavalier! up 62% (Maybe it'll bring it up to a profit margin? The Sunfire is up by 2 % as well)

The Ions sales figure for the year so far doesn't seem too bad (71,018) Its not on its way to be close to their predicted sub 200K though...

I've said this once and I'll say it again:

Get rid of the Pontiac division and bring in the Holden division to fill in those empty lots!!

Chevrolet!!

I think more and more buyers will be/are going domestic. And by like 07 I bet it looks like a domestic takeover with the cars that wil be coming out, and not only by GM.

look at the malibu's sales, down 42%.

how sad, Camaro sales down 98%, with only66 being sold, you would think that they would sold the last of them.

Me too, I would bet on it. With increasing quality, more power over the imports, more competitive prices, and more fun cars, there will be no reason to buy them, unless you are crazy for import styling. I think B.L. is thinking the same way. The Impala's success is just the start of it. (Although a V8 RWD car would be and do alot better, it's coming though)
