But that doesn't mean the chassis or anything under the skin is the same. The Solstice steering wheel ended up in how many different models?

Well, I'm obviously not the target market for this vehicle. At first sight I kinda threw up in my mouth a little.

My reaction was "wow" as well, but not the good kind. I already don't care for compact boxy looking vehicles. So as I try to imagine that GMC without the 20-22" wheels and lowering job that all concept photos come with and all production cars come without... I'm thinking it'll look just about as awkward as all the rest of them do, albeit maybe edgier and more modern or uglier... depending on how you look at it.

If this thing in top trim, has the same driving dynamics as the HHR SS, it would really be a sweet piece.

Looks too much like a Cube/Soul/xB knockoff. You just get the feeling looking at this thing that GM was desperately seeking the "me too" product.

I'm waiting for them to do something, just one model, as original as Cadillac's first A&S cars...

The GMC looks nothing like an xB or Cube. You are confusing styling with market segment.

Wouldn't Theta be better?

Theta certainly would be more truck-like. However I'm thinking small FWD Ecotec powertrain with a minimal 3.5' x 5.5' box bed. Kind of like a modern-day Chevy Luv.
