He's only here to further his own agenda . I wish he'd offer some thoughts on a Camaro, but I don't know that he has any interest in it.

Ford and DCX copycatted the idea.

Countless import dealerships copycatted the idea on their own...

And, believe it or not, just about every manufacturer out there has rebates or incentives of some sort.

While that's true, IMO that's a case of marketing fighting marketing. The import brands (from my memory and perception) didn't offer as large of disounts as the big 3. And in the end the big 3 were still losing market share.

Oh, definately true.... but I think there's this assumption out there that American manufacturers (and, in particular GM) are the only ones offering incentives and rebates....

Looks as if GM is continuing the Employee Discount pricing until Sept. 5th.

Not surprising since Ford let their's continue...

The only down side is that stock on 2005 models is already lwo at GM dealerships....

The upside, though, is that it shoudl continue to help dealers clear out the higher MSRP'd 05 to make room for the 2006's....

I will just say that quite a few local import dealers are doing "employee pricing" too. Kia, Nissan, Toyota to name a few.
