Talking GM RPO Information depository thread.

On another thread was posted the GM Regular Production Option list.

I got to page 7 & found the 1LE package is reserved for the 2004 GTO! (page 7 of 188)

I thought it would be a good idea to have one thread where anyone going through that list can post anything interesting they find for all of us. There seems to be an amazing amount of information on link (ie: GTOs program is GMX-281).

In case you need the link again: http://www.gm-trucks.com/GMfullRPOlist.pdf

I think alot of us will find much more than just 1 or 2 of us going through this thing.

Ya, I think there is a lot of old stuff in there too... (see my RPO ZR1 reference in the other thread)

Typhoon is still listed... maybe it's coming back, though.

But there are some that even specifically say MY1998 and such in their description...

the z07 code has an action date of 910508.. which I'm assuming is 1991.. perhaps they enterd it in the system and left it in there.. Also, it has an M next to it. dunno what that means..

The 1LE code those has a date of 20409, which I assume means 2002.. so sounds like they are planning something for the GTO.. But its of type "Local" rather than "PERFORMANCE".....

I have a feeling this list is more like a Dictionary.. not necessarily whats actually going to be used..

I think this list is going to create more questions and than answers. Like 4.2 V8 with DOHC and a supercharger? Where did that come from, what is it's status, and what is it going to go into? A Bonneville GXP? And also, where are the Cadillac RPO codes? I haven't seen one yet and I've sifted through a good portion of the document.

I noticed it has codes from vehicles and options long discontinued (it still has something for a Chevette! ), and also has codes for GM divisions around the world. But the one thing I haven't found yet (I've admittedly spent only about a half hor total looking through the thing) is that there isn't any Z28 option mentioned.
