A lot better than the current one. America is so anti traditional hatchback, its a wonder the orginal Aveo even made it over here. I was also suprised that they were offering optional leather seats.

I also bet this is a very high profit margin vechile for GM. Designed in Korea by Koreans and Chinese, built buy Koreans, just think of all the money saved on labor. Hopefully GM will have the sense to offer a better warranty with this car, since all the other Koreans offer an excellent warranty.

That is working towards it. If you look at cars like the Torano and SS concepts you can get a sense that the fenders will be moreso lower than the hood like the 00 Silverado and the HHR.

We won't see the full look till this fall at the Frankfort Show.

Can we even imagine a Camaro with that style front end without getting sick?
I can see it for Malibu, Cobalt and maybe even Monte Carlo and Impala... but Camaro AND Corvette?

Ok, so Corvette is special... but I'm now begining to wonder if all the recent "Camaro-like" talk from GM means we may have a Mustang competitor, but it won't be called "Camaro".

Re: GM restyles the Aveo.

Camaro and Corvette have never followed corprate styling themes regarless of what they were . Why would they all the sudden start . Have you ever seen the gold bowtie on a Camaro or the blue bowtie of the 90's . The camaro has always just looked like a camaro . And GM , which still cant publicly talk about the Camaro , has said "the chevy performance coupe has to be right , Zeta was not right for the chevy performance coupe" . GM isnt stupid , they know exactly what a Camaro is and what the new one needs to be . Reguardless of how much there not saying .

Re: GM restyles the Aveo.

looks like the guy responsible for the new Aveo styling did the S3X design (or vice versa). if that guy is sitting somewhere, locked away from civilization in Korea, they need to bring him over to GMNA and put him in charge of at least ONE of domestic devision's designs.

Excellent work.

Not bad looking for a 4 squirrel powered econo-box. Definitely much more of a looker than anything in the same price range.

Re: GM restyles the Aveo.

yea, i think an ss, lowered a bit, rims actually look good, and maybe a nice n/a 2.0l would be good
i think they'd fly off the lots if they priced them pretty low

Re: GM restyles the Aveo.

Actually looks pretty good. Improvement over the current one. When it hits here, it should sell pretty well.

I agree - it's better than before for sure.

Still doesn't grab me though.

Excellent work.

Good joke, but no Korean Designers involved, Aveo was styled at Italdesign-Giugiaro in Moncalieri, Italy.

Yes, you are right - GMNA should put them in charge of exterior/interior design.

Re: GM restyles the Aveo.

Looks like they will be able to fit bigger rims, and if Chevy was smart, they would turn the sedan and the eventual hatch model into there very own Scion. Exhaust systems, CAI's, and offer bigger and badder stereo's. Aveo is riding high, lets keep it up Chevy.
