I have no hate for him, I don't even know him. I just don't like the site because it is dated and not updated enough. Some of the articles are good. You go to the mail page and you see things like "Chevy Introduces The 2007 Avalanche", "Corvette SS spy shots", and "GMS First Look: 2010 Chevrolet Impala" which shows pics of an Impala that is never coming out. Old news from years ago.

Then you click New York auto show and it says 2007 and has videos from the 2007 debuts.

What was the Outlook thing? Something to do with the Saturn Outlook.

It was quite a site back in those days - a lot of fun. Especially when the insiders were there. I posted less as I became more discouraged about GM's prospects. I think a significant portion of the US population would be happy if the only automakers selling here were Toyota, Honda, BMW, and Mercedes.

In the past, I've offered to buy it. It was a very fun community in the old days. I'd still buy it (if it were for sale), if I had an admin to help me run it.

Given the current and expected state of General Motors Corporation: I would say that all GM enthusiasts sites will see a decline in membership, posts, hits, etc.

Some will simply die and some will make it through.

All the news sites seem to be pointing towards Friday for the BK. Interestingly enough, I brought it up to my coworkers and they all thought GM already declared BK a while ago.

Ah, the ribbing on me is fine, I have thick skin. I can take it. FOG's right though, C&G was a blast "back in the day." Thanks, FOG, for the vote of confidence on the job done at C&G. I, too have offered to buy it, several times for quite a nice dime but it's just not for sale unfortunately.

The ribbing abou the site is correct in a sense. The dates needed to be changed and something I've meant to get to, but have gotten busy. Changed though, and the stories you see about the Avalanche, etc. Those are the "most read" stories. Something I have no control over. They've just been viewed tens of thousands of times.

GM's bankruptcy will likely be filed Friday. Today, UAW leaders flew back to their union halls to deliver the terms of the deal to their members. It's being voted today and tomorrow, and ratification is set to take place tomorrow afternoon.

That's all GM really has to wait for now. The UAW to ratify the deal. Everything else (including the bankruptcy paperwork) is done - and has been done.

A lot of the articles are good, but a lot needs to be updated (auto shows, image gallery doesn't work)

Maybe the "Most read articles" should be most read this week.

At GMI, there has been a surge of membership. We are building quite a readership from salesman and dealers who have found out about the site through various sources.
As everything gets more intense, and down to the wire, we have been plenty active recently.

I do what I can... Glad you're a fan!

It's really no secret that I haven't been a fan of C&G for a while, despite posting there and being featured on the front page. Like Josh, I was "disposed of" by lesser admins after being one of the founding members. But I guess that's what happens when the owner of the site doesn't care that it exists and then allows some kids to run it.

Anyway... That's another topic entirely.

I think it pretty much went like this: admin hates Josh. Admin contacts insider. Insider gives Josh false information. Josh runs with story that Outlook has been cancelled (just doing what we all do; reporting a story) That fact that the info was false comes out. Josh's reputation was damaged and he was asked to leave the site.

Nothing but politics 101.

Heard on the radio this morning that the Gov't is still working with the bondholders, and that if a deal can't be done for a BK filing on Friday (5/29), the Gov't would probably extend its 6/1 (Monday) deadline.

Either way, BK is inevitible.
