I haven't read that site on a regular basis, but the few times I did visit it I always learned something and had a blast doing so.

So .. Maximum Bob reads it too, religiously, eh? Or at least used to? Well I hope that he took particular note of the following quote and passed the mentality of it to the rest of them there:

"The automobile industry is all about passion for the product, it has always been about passion for the product, and it always will be about passion for the product."

I think it'd be a great idea for them to print that out and paste it on the wall, on the bulletin board, in the cubicle, in the Rolodex even. wherever. So they can occasionally see it, so as to not lose sight of what their job is about.

I saw that tool Peter on a local Michigan show.

Who does he think he is, the Rush Limbaugh of the Automotive world?

Well, I for one, am going to miss Peter's weekly column. I know many here didn't like his views, but he was always interesting , never afraid to voice his opinion and even if you didn't agree with a specific viewpoint...he was always informative.

What more can you ask for?

I think it's a great opportunity for a passionate car person to get the chance to fix the things he hasn't liked about the car business.

I'm sure he'll have things at Daimler Chrysler turned around in no time.

Should be a cinch for a guy with all the answers.
