Full 370Z Review

http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...ticleId=136547

13.4 @ 104.6mph
60-0 in 101 feet
69.8 mph Slalom
.97G of grip

Not bad!! Base price is $29,930!

It would be a hard choice for me. A 370Z with the track package vs a Camaro SS. I can only hope that the Camaro will put out similar handling numbers.

I didn't read the article, but those numbers are very respectable.

Not too shabby for a non-booster sixxer. I would rock one of these over a GT-R anyday.

I should have one about mid-January and will have it on the autocross course in March...I'm looking forward to see how it does compared to my 350s.

It was night and day difference between my '01 Z/28 and any of the 350Zs I've had since...my Z/28 was good on course but I always felt I had to muscle it around corners that the 350 would just "take"...the 350 was just more "composed".

I'm curious as to how the Fifth Gen SS will be different both from the Fourth Gens and from the 370Z.

how far apart were the two cars? (not trying to start a fight, just curious. I know a 350Z is a better handling car than an f-body)

It's very difficult to compare just the car of course - an autocross is really more about the driver than the car; but I typically didn't have a problem posting better times than the F-Bodies/Mustangs that would show up on the days I was there.

I knew from the seat of my pants that I was posting better times with my 350s than with my Z/28 and as I mentioned, the 350Z always felt much more composed.

I think the best test, however, is the Tail of The Dragon; an 11 mile/318 curves piece of two-lane right on the Tennessee/North Carolina border...I've done things on that road with my 350Z that I would never have tried in my Z/28.

Don't get me wrong, however, I loved my Z/28!

Those are great numbers. The 370Z is a well balanced and now more powerful 6cyl 2 seat sports car. Nuff said. IMO Nissan has the best sports car and coupe of any from Japan.

If one really wanted to compare it to a 2+2 Camaro SS coupe I think that we'll find that the Camaro would run a good bit stronger at the drag strip but not handle at .97G on the skidpad nor pull almost 70mph on the slalom.

Mototrend has it 4.7 and 13.3 @ 105...
My question is, did the Edmunds or MT article have a Track package equiped one or no?

I'm looking forward to a comparison test between the 370Z and a 2010 Camaro SS.

I'd like to see the Mustang GT and Hyundai Genesis coupe in the test too. And maybe a 135i.

With that 1/4 mile, probably at 5 seconds.

I really do not see these 2 cars competing with one another. There are hundreds of pounds of weight difference, an additional row of seats, dimensions are much different. They have 2 different purposes.

I expect the Z to be faster than a Camaro around a track.

I had the option of taking my Z on that road, but I think it wise I decided against it.

I've only ever driven a 350Z once - but I will share your opinion on it feeling more composed than the f-car. I'm also curious how the 370Z will do/feel in comparison, espicially knowing they shaved weight off it.
