Re: Ford sends Mustang survey....

That brings a fully loaded pricetag of $29,840 (including automatic). The base of under $25k with IRS seems like a great value. Ford seems to be on track for a sure-fire hit.

Options:
5-Speed Automatic Transmission $930
Independent Rear Suspension $175
AM/FM Stereo with 1000 Watt Output and 6-Disc In-Dash CD Player $1,295
Satellite Radio $320

Front Side Airbags $255
Active Anti-Theft Protection $235
Wheel Locks $50

Leather Seating Surfaces $595
Color Accent Interior Package $175
Leather Wrapped Steering Wheel $65
Leather Shifter **** $50

Message Center $50

17" Bright Machined Aluminum Wheels $130

Power Sliding Moonroof $740
Exterior Hood Scoop (Non-functional) $150
Sequential Tail Lamps $50

No kidding! A non-functional hood scoop is only $25 bucks less than an IRS? Wouldn't be much of a choice of where I'd invest my money there! Though I'd probably Pony up $150 for a functional scoop.

The survey is apparently real. It seems that it wasn't sent out by Ford....but a marketing company called Morpace International.
