275 RWHP sounds accurate for this car.

$24,575 is the base price for a GT I assume.

How much are these things going to weigh?

Assuming it's accurate...

What's with the prices on the sound system upgrades??? I don't follow this stuff, but the upgrade on my 98 Camaro was 1/2 the price of the 500 watt unit. Who in their right mind would pay those prices for a factory unit?

Am I off the deep end here?

Sounds GREAT. Optional IRS and 5 speed auto! $25,000. I'm sold, if I were in the market.

Well, I can tell you, from experience, that these types of surveys from Ford are real.

About 1-1.5 years ago we took one (actually 2 since Rick has his L, and I had a first Gen L) about the next Lightning.

Similar idea to this. Only in this case they offered different engines to pick from ............ different transmisssions.............. wheels................ brakes............... IRS............... and a few other things. They then asked about pricing, and what someone would be willing to pay for the truck the way they had it equipped.

We picked the 500hp supercharged 5.4 with the 5-speed manumatic transmission, Brembo brakes and IRS. We were willing to pay $40K for this.

While the IRS probably will not make production, chances are that the rest will.

I look forward to seeing what the Mustang guys end up with........... and what the next L ends up like. After seeing the interior on the '04 F150 I want one BAD !!!!!

It is nice to see that a huge manufacturer like Ford is actually taking the time to listen to their enthusiast buyers. It's too bad another giant didn't do that.

Dont hold the Mustang survey as gospel. It wouldnt be worth your time....Ford wont sell a car wil single "factory" installed options. They come as a whole package. So the guy who originally posted this (lwilson from stangpro forums) is full of it.

Well, the $50 wheel locks should be standard.

I find it interesting that they'd make sequential taillights an option... you'd think they'd either go with it or forget it... I am guessing this is similar to the old Cougar taillights from the late 60's....

IRS for $175 is the most interesting pricing though...

Non-functonal hood scoops still?? And sequential taillights are dumb.
