Re: Ford GT, poor leadership, helped kill SVT.

Everyone PLEASE understand... SVT being "gone" does NOT mean Ford will not be putting out specialty vehicles. They definitely will, but they won't have SVT letters on them, and the "qualified dealer" thing is gone too.

As for Charlie's and Guy's comments about the exclusive dealer service - both are 100% on the money. That too is a concern for me - a big one. Ford MUST find some way of getting their entire dealer network to treat buyers of the TFR units to be treated special, and that will be tough.

But don't give up hope on another Cobra from Ford factories, special engines, or handling packages because they will continue to come. In fact, Ford recognizes that specialization is a huge part of future success. It just seems that Ford (unfortunately) has decided that bundling 5 different "specialty teams" into 1 big specialty team makes more sense, and the name for the new cosolidated team will not be SVT. It will be TRF instead.

Sounds like Ford is forming their own version of the Department of Homeland Security.

Which is it, TFR or TRF, and what is that an acronym for?

If SVT is dead. Why does the order guids and literature have SVT all over them??? Its also been proven that the Shelby will have SVT badging (not saying they can't cut it before the launch.)
