Ford GT 2003 availability = 3

just read in a magazine that there will be a total of just 3 Ford GT's available for 2003, right around $125,000 each. If anyone can verify or elaborate, please do.

I don't know about the price (sound about right anyways) but the production #'s for 03 are right on the dot. There will only be 3 made for 2003. But from there on, i think Ford plans on building close to a thousand units a year.

3 cars for one year? You gotta be kidding. Why are they even gonna make it? I mean sure it's gonna be an instant collector car but who cares. If I was a Ford fan, and I had $125,000 in the bank wanting to buy one, I'd be pissed.

Of course, I'm neither!

3 cars for 2003, just so they're at least out there.

Then every year after that 1000 cars.

Everyone seemed to miss that part.

I just read in Car Craft that the guy who owns the rights to "GT-40" wanted to charge a poo-load for Ford to use it, so that's the reason Ford changed it to "GT"; is that what others have heard?

Yah, I just read in a magazine that Ford offered the guy about 1 million, and a COUPLE of the new GT's, but he wanted something like 40 million.

The ONLY reason there are ANY for 2003 is because of Ford's 100th anniversairy. Otherwise, they all would be 2004s.
