I would think that among Ford, Mercury, Lincoln, Mazda, Volvo, Jaguar, Land Rover, and Aston Martin, most people could find something to their liking...

Which one of those companies makes motorcycles?

Heh... touche...

Yes, if you ride a motorcycle to work, I guess you'll have to step outside the Ford family.

However, I doubt they are relocating the motorcycle parking area to the non-competitor lot across the street, because Ford probably doesn't look at H-D or Yamaha (or Honda, Kawi, Suzuki, etc.) motorcycles as a large threat to their auto sales.

Ford is in cahoots with Harley, isn't that close enough to qualify for premium parking?

Well Im not disagreeing completely but why should you work for a HIGH END resturant, say $100 a person for a good meal, and NOT go somewhere else when you may have just made only that much by working that day. Believe me, its economics, if you give a discount to the employee (substantial not some little few thousand bs) then that is the incentive and also REWARD for working for ford. The company will still have a profit margin and benefit its employees at the same time.

This is one of those times that I can’t help but be stunned that people don’t see the overwhelming logic of the issue.

The “O’Charly’s” example is a poor one…a $10 meal and a $30K vehicle are not the same issue. As to the high-priced restaurant, true, if I owned a $100/plate restaurant I wouldn’t expect all my employees to eat at my restaurant every time the ate out…on the other hand, if I did own such a restaurant and you worked for me and we had some kind of “uniform” with my restaurant’s logo/name on it and I saw you in a McDonalds in my restaurant’s uniform; you would be an employee no longer.

Getting back to the real issue, if your employment at Ford (or GM or Chrysler or whoever) is paying your house payment, paying your utilities, feeding your family, putting cloths on your back and sending your kids to school…you darn well ought to buy Ford products; even if they aren’t the “best” product in every category and EVEN if the company doesn’t give them away. If you aren’t wiling to do that, you need to find another employer.
