Followed a C6 around on the Busa yesterday...

Not the one I saw, but here are some pics of the C6 in black. I'll agree, it is a major PITA to keep clean and swirl-free.

Black cars are the most beautiful thing on the road when cleaned and waxed and polished up...
...and they stay that way for precisely 4 minutes.
Then, they show every blemish, every swirl, every ding and every speck of dust like a neon sign.
If you're **** about keeping a car clean, a black car will send you to the funny farm in no time.
Easiest colors?
Probably silver and white.

I totally agree with this.
My 89 Camaro RS was black with black wheels... had it for 4 years a long time ago... looked AWESOME right after it was cleaned, but drove me nuts, because I could drive to the store and come back and feel like I needed to wash it all over again.
I got white on my current 02 Monte SS thinking it'd be easier to deal with, and it is, to a point... but I think silver would probably be even easier to take care of than white... less stuff would show, I think.
The only way I'd buy black again is if I absolutely LOVED it on the car I was considering, AND that car was a special occasion car, and not a daily driver.
Everytime I swear that I won't buy a black car again.....I buy a black car again.
I currently have a black daily driver and a black garage queen.
Black requires abit more effort, some finesse in your technique, and choosing the right detail products (especially towels!!!).
Black can be a b!tch....but a well detailed black car is spectacular.

So I'm curious - Usually for Corvette, a new "Cx" designation means a completely different design and frame.
The C6 to me looks like the same body as the C5, only with slightly different bumpers, and a few other things.
Under the skin, is there a bigger change somewhere?

The C3 rides on the same platform as the C2, so it is not unprecidented that a lot of the C6 is based on the C5....

The Cx designation really popped up with the C5... just means different Generation of the car.... nothing very specific though.

"Dave Hill as seen in Corvette Magazine"
...85% of the car, in terms of weight and mass, is new, and 70% of the part numbers are new.
