Are the folks that price the GMs screwed UP
We are Talking about MSRP markups from GM and not the dealer....
As for your question on the Camaro
I would think you will get the Camaro at Invoice without a problem
Economy sucks
Layoffs
GM closing dealerships
Nobody getting loans at banks
And if you are lucky to get a loan expect tp pay a higher interest rate.
I am going trading in my car and the rest is cash.
Screw them and their high interest rates

They may sell some Traverse to people who want out of their Suburban and want something more PC
It's a hard sell, same as the $45,000 outlook...
Trailblazers are a total loss brand new, just look at them used! You can definately get a VERY nice low mile Trailblazer for under 15K

According to Chavy's website the AWD traverse starts at about 42,000 and the AWD TB SS starts at 40,000.
Comparing the models to each other everything looks to be a couple grand different only, so where is this big markup?

I thought I heard it all
The folks at GM are having problems and I would think some would have
a half of a brain,,,but I guess they are smucks just like the people at AIG.
My friends wants to buy a 2009 Trailblazer for his wife and the model year ends in dec on the Blazers....
A fully loaded Blazer is $38,000
Now they have the Traverse its the same as the Trailblazer and they want
$48,000 loaded.......
You would think a Company like GM that are having problems selling trucks and SUVs would ever think that should be a $10,000 markup???
Geeeeee I wonder who are in smucks pricing everything......

I wish I could find a low mile Trailblazer for less than 15k around here. I've found a number at or a couple thousand above 15k but none less. Going to try again this weekend.
Try checking out www.trailvoy.com. for GMT360 info, I have have very bad luck with mine and would not recommend one to someone. The reliability stinks I'd look for a used Lamda or a Tahoe instead.

Trailblazers are a win/ loose. Some have no problems, others are lemons. My folks have an 02 Tahoe which has been amazing untill reciently when the 4x4 modum went. Otherwise, 55K miles and a good solid truck!

My dad had an '02 TB LS he bought new, that my grandfather now has with over 90k. A couple small items under warranty went bad, and since then he's had one small coolant hose leak.
My dad replaced it with an '05 TB LT, and through 96k miles the ONLY thing to go wrong was just last week...the idler pulley started squeaking. Otherwise, he hasn't put a dime into it aside from one set of brakes and tires...
Kirkland Pontiac. My wife bought her 2000 T/A from them and her 2007 Solstice GXP. Got good deals on both, but because of the proximity to Bellevue they can be stingy on the negotiating. They're service dept. has always been helpful with me in the past as well. I used to have my 94 Z28 serviced there after Bellevue Chevrolet denied me warranty work a decade ago. The ole vibrating driveshaft issue. Kirkland Pontiac did change ownership a little over a year and a half ago and but overall it seems to be run similar to how it was previously.
The Trailblazer has about $10K in rebates and discounts. The Traverse is probaly the most disappointing new GM design in a long time. I saw one at a dealer up close recently..and it is just really frump all around. It looks like someone took a bicycle pump to a Malibu or somthing. The things that jumped at me were to the pointy rear, ugle gauge layout, and the liberal use of gray textured plastic that I though was discontinued with the last gen Avalanche.

Objectively, what is wrong with the Traverse?
And for what it is worth, my sister has one of the first year Trailblazers. It has nearly 120k miles on it, and I am not aware of any major malfunctions that it has had. A few weeks ago it started showing problems responding to quick positive throttle changes. I blame it on her driving style and probably a worn out sensor in the gas pedal or something like that relating to the drive by wire system.

If anything rolls off the floor at invoice it's 1st year, it means that the things can't be given away by the dealer.

Why are we comparing an 5 passenger SUV to a 7 or 8 passenger crossover?
Most people never take their SUV's off road. Many people prefer the way crossovers drive (especially women). They both have about the same bottom end and top end pricing. Not many people buy SS or LTZ models.
Pricing is fine. I would rather have a Traverse than a Trailblazer.
But I would rather have an Enclave instead of either... and I do
