I thought I heard it all
The folks at GM are having problems and I would think some would have
a half of a brain,,,but I guess they are smucks just like the people at AIG.

My friends wants to buy a 2009 Trailblazer for his wife and the model year ends in dec on the Blazers....
A fully loaded Blazer is $38,000
Now they have the Traverse its the same as the Trailblazer and they want
$48,000 loaded.......
You would think a Company like GM that are having problems selling trucks and SUVs would ever think that should be a $10,000 markup???
Geeeeee I wonder who are in smucks pricing everything......

 

The Traverse is not $48K loaded, low $40's. I agree though the Traverse is a few thousand too much, the LTZ I thought before pricing was released should have been no more than $35K, not $40K. The Trailblazer is WAY overpriced, not worth it in my opinion. I owned a '03 Trailblazer, LT, pretty loaded, was around $34K, too much money, especially after owning it for 4 years and happily got rid of it for a '06 Equinox (which is one of GM's best vehicles in my opinion).

I know my friend buys his cars from the chevy dealer near him and his friend
sells cars at that dealership...
He told me the price for a fully loaded Traverse is $48,000......
Maybe someone made a mistake of something....
But the prices are getting higher on their SUVs even when nobodys buying them

 

No doubt sales of SUVs have dropped dramatically the past year or two, and as most people know I'm no fan of the things. However, they are still a very large segment of all new vehicle sales if not still the biggest segment. Saying nobody's buying them isn't true.

 

My dad just bought a 2008 3ss TBSS a few weeks ago. It certainly isn't true.

 

Looking for an 04 and up Trailblazer, Tahoe or Equinox at present. Winter is coming and I really need a 4 wheel drive. Never should have sold the H2.

There are definitely deals to be had if your patient and leverage dealers off each other.

 

Tell him to buy a used 2008, there are tons of them for under $20,000 on cars.com

 

Your buddy wasn't lying. I was out window shopping with my Dad and we saw a new Transverse at Serra Chevrolet loaded for $48,000. It was on a Sunday and a salesman happen to be their (usually they are not around here) and he agreed with us. Nice SUV that is going to be a hard sale.

 

FWIW, I just went to www.chevy.com and built a completely loaded out Traverse LTZ... every single option including the $95 upcharge paint and the $75 engine block heater on an AWD LTZ.

Total sticker: $46,895.

 

Perhaps the OP was listing Canadian prices?

You will have a lot less people buying SUVs(Many less people}
Yep you will have some that will buy SUVs.
But I will stick with with the prices of $45,000 - $48,000 as the people are saying on here...
Well thats still $6,000 over the 2009 trailblazer....
Many people don't want to buy a left over or even a 2009 trailblazer
when the newest will be out......
But GM have many nut jobs pricing these autos

 

Pricing is kind of odd here... the price of a fully loaded Enclave (with $795 for the white diamond tricoat paint), is $48935.

 

FWIW, my stepson's '05 TB was in the shop yesterday for a bad thermostat. $750 because it is "hard to access". (Did a coolant flush and LOF as well.) Stupid I-6. Luckily my service rep was able to convince GM it was covered under my extended warranty so it was $200 less than originally quoted. (FWIW, my dealer charges $30 for the LOF and $150 for the coolant flush so the bulk of it was the thermostat... $90 part plus labor.)

Did I mention my '02 Tahoe gets better gas mileage?

how bad do you think the dealer markup is going to be for the new
Camaro?

i hear the markup on the $35,000 Challenger is an additional $30k in some places.
