Pretty good, but I hate to see them retreat from the crisp lines of the CTS. I know Lutz wants it that way, but it's moving a bit too close to DeVille territory IMO.

It doesn't have the same bold look the CTS has that brought it fame. This just looks like some sorta "me too!" version of a Benz. It needs the crisp lines.

I think it looks just like the CTS, minus the smoked headlights and slat grill. It's a good looking car though.

Gonna be a good looking car for sure! If it sat a few inches lower, it would make a huge difference.

Like others have mentioned... not quite as 'crisp' as the CTS, but that may be OK...

I find the AWD on the V8 to be interesting...

Very nice, I am glad its not just a bigger identical CTS styling wise.
I love the Cadillac Art & Science theme, and I am glad Cadillac is making styling variations on that theme with its different models

Actually, the car looks appropriately like the CTS without looking identical. Sort of a more mature, bigger brother. I saw about 6 of them in full or nearly full trim the other day in the media prep building, and I sat in one. They are awesome cars. At first glance (in person, not in somewhat fuzzy pics) they do come off as very CTS-like. But then you notice that, while many of the same character lines and details are there, they are not quite razor edged. Makes the car look more refined while definitely still fitting the new Caddy theme. The interior is much "nicer" looking than the CTS interior, and should meet with general praise from the all knowing media. Excellent car!

Way too tall, and UGLY. TOO MUCH CTS "crispiness" that everyone else seems to luv I thought the previous two STS designs looked great. Understated but quite handsome. I wish GM would get away from the idea that all cars in a line have to share styling cues (crispity cadillacs, clown-nosed buicks, big -dumb-chrome-barred-grill chevys...)

Most companies share that belief. Look at BMWs, Mercedes, Acuras, Hondas, Chryslers, Dodges, etc. In any one of those (and nearly all other) brands, you can readily look at one of the vehicles and know who makes it. Having a common styling theme is very important. I agree that the previous STS was a nice looking car, but it had virtually nothing in common with the new Cadillac styling direction. Regarding the new STS, sorry you don't like it, but I'm sure Cadillac will find plenty of buyers who do. Although I'm not in that market at all, I sure like it a lot.

The only issue I have with it is how tall it is.

It wasn't very long ago that 58" was the height of small pickup trucks.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, according to BMW, the new 5 is 57.8" tall, and the 7 is 58.7" tall. Height is in these days in order to provide a spacious-feeling interior...

Yup. Good for brand recognition, bad for design diversity. I'd prefer it if they allowed for some originality between models. Anyhoo, if GM is going to have certain strong design cues consistent throughout the divisions, they could at least be GOOD ones!

Doesn't make me feel any better at all (worse, in fact) that BMW's are too tall and heavy as well. Maybe a Jag XJR is for me...
(as if I were in that ballpark)

Hehe, Crispity Cadillacs.

I like it ok, but it doesn't seem to stand out very much. I'll have to see one in person I guess.
