Dude, where's my Camaro?

It's a little sad that there has not been much by way of new Camaro threads/news on this board lately!

There's still good information around right now, you just have to look a little for it.

New information?!? I think that GM will soon issue a public statement denying that Camaro ever existed.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit

It seems that we were getting all kinds of leaks there for a while and the General has finally plugged them all

no crap, but that seems to be the answer everyone else keeps saying.

"I want a rwd performance coupe, and chevy doesnt have it, so Im gunna get a Mustang....GM IS STUPID!!"

This seems to the the idea behind most of these threads. So I just say..."Buy a Mustang...its easier then waiting."
Trust me, no one will find more joy in seeing fleets of mustangs being turned at chevy lots, in for the new Camaro in 07.

Re: Dude, where's my Camaro?

why would the guys waiting want a new mustang that barely puts out better times than lt1 fbodies. from what ive seen so far, i think a good driver in an lt1 would easily beat the new mustangs, no need to even mention ls1's which can be had for almost half the cost of the new mustang.

& I say again "HOW MANY PEOPLE OUT THERE CAN AFFORD A NEW RWD CAR????"

How many of you guys, own more than one Camaro?

I own 6 cars & 3 of them are Camaros (2 3rd gens & a 4th gen). I still have two more Camaros to buy, finish School & become part of GM before I even think of owning a 5th gen .

The bytching & wining from this group seems like to me a bunch of babys that cant afford, nor have the means to buy a car thats not even in to production as of YET.

We have 1yr & 5 months before they might even think about annoucing the car bing out there & ready for production.

I wouldn't dismiss them. These are the people "keeping the faith" (though not necessarily by choice) and they may be the bulk of the customers left when GM finally gets around to releasing this car. Those with enough money to buy a new RWD car are probably not willing to wait 6 YEARS for one.

Re: Dude, where's my Camaro?

Isnt the GTO a RWD car?
General Information
Price: $32,500
Miles Per Gallon: 18/27 mpg
Curb Weight: 3770 lbs
Layout: Front-Engine/RWD
Transmission: 6-Speed Manual
Engine
Type: V8
Displacement: 5665 cc
Horsepower: 350 bhp @ 5200 rpm
Torque: 365 lb-ft @ 4000 rpm
Redline: 6000 rpm
Performance
0-60 mph: 5.3 sec
0-100 mph: 12.9 sec
Quarter Mile: 13.8 sec @ 103.8 mph
Skidpad: .81g
Top Speed: 160 mph
Braking, 60-0 mph: 132 ft
Slalom Speed: 63.4 mph

So they are making a RWD Sports Sadan/ sleeper funny people bytch about a car company not making something & yet its right in their face, & is no more (but less in price) then the car they are saying is no longer being build.
