Infact, he may have even overpaid by purchasing one now. Unless things have changed in the past weeks, i do recall solstice's selling for over msrp due to dealership markups.

I don't know how things are over at Jason's dealership (i know he personally tries to hook his customers up with the best deal, but it sounds like the person went through another salesman), but markups on the solstice seem to be common across the states...or so i thought/think.

Yeah, he didn't go through me...as I've said before, I'm Saturday-only, so I get a tiny piece of the pie

For a small dealer, we have a huge enthusiast network we've built ourselves, and word gets around quick that we don't add addendums to MSRPs (I'm sure many here have read the battles I had in '02 over our Firehawk inventory, and how I threatened to never order another one if they tried selling any at over MSRP...I won ). We have never marked up a GTO (most have gone for about $800 over invoice, actually...), and all 5 Solstices we have on order were MSRP deals.

Threxx,
Don't worry, no one sits in the car I opened the hood and the trunk to show it off a little more on Saturday, but even those will normally stay shut. If anyone near or in MA wants to see one in person, stop by Fedor Pontiac in Easthampton MA on a Saturday...its actually a fun place to hang around, as my Firebird and GTO customers stop by a lot. I have a high percentage of our "enthusiast" customers because of contacts I made with all the Firebirds in '02...its helped me sell a ton of GTOs, but hasn't given me an inroads with the Solstice crowd. Solstice owners are typically import buyers, not surprisingly...
