That sounds about right to me.

There's more wrong with recent Chevy designs that the "chrome moustache" and increasingly large gold bow tie.
Aside from the new Malibu, I think every new (2004+) Chevy design is a winner. Equinox, Colorado, Cobalt Coupe, and, C6 Vette.

Malibu styling could easily be fixed or at least patched with small touches like 17" Rims, smoked head lights instead of chrome and a body colored grill.

1. The Equinox has the width of compact SUV and the length of a fullsized SUV - no shoulder room, huge rear leg room. What were they thinking?

2. The dinky but dear Colorado is undersized and undertired? Who the heck ever asked for a tiny truck with weeny looking 15" treads? What were they thinking?

3. The Cobalt Coupe...uh...

Is this thing actually new? Is it just an even more downmarket Saturn Ion? What were they thinking?

4. Wasn't it about time that GM produced a taller, narrower, uglier Corvette? No, I don't mean the XLR. I'm really talking about the C6, but the same applies to the plastic Caddy. What were they thinking?

Nah, the Malibu is too messed up to be fixed by a simple wheel 'n tire upgrade. Am I the only one who's noticed that the Malibu looks wider on top than on the bottom? What were they thinking?

Well, that's great. We can argue subjective styling all damned day

In my opinion, all of those vehicles you just listed look great sans Ion.

they were thinking that most "SUV" buyers are really looking to buy a minivan but don't want it's image. that's what they were thinking.

EDIT: No offense to you other folks who forgot about the shift key when signing up! redzed's borderline troll-like posts just drive me bonkers.

They'd have to be some pretty awesome wheels to have much of an effect.

BTW, I found myself staring at the front end of a Malibu the other day at a stoplight. After looking at the the headlights for a couple of minutes....it hit me! (A thought...NOT the Malibu).

The "face" on the Malibu looks like the expression a frog might have at the moment of castration.

Take a good look next time....you'll see what I mean.

Hilarious. Had me laughing out loud. Don't know if it's all merited, but DEFINITELY funny.

The malibu is picked on so much. What a sad car.

I bet redzed is a militant Hyundai driver.

His name is just to throw people off and fool them into believing that he actually knows what he is talking about and that his opinion should matter around here.

So does this all mean that the 05' Impala will have a new exterior and interior? I have been confused with some conflicting reports.
The 2005 Impala is unchanged from the '04 model except for some color changes and other minor changes, and no V8 for the '05 model. I thought the V8 might be available in the 9C1 Police Pkg. in '05 and then come to the civilian market in '06, but I have already recieved the police pkg. portfolio for 2005 and no major changes for Impala.

I guess we will have to wait for the '06 model to see what they are going to do. Hopfully it will come early since they have already started the '05 Impala.
