Thats odd! I wonder if GM has something to do with the disapearance of the pics. Pictures must be veeeeery important to be shown just yet...... Ya think?

Stop and ask yourselves something.

Why would Uncle Bob's used cars know about the Camaro before one of us did?

I knew that they had been working on a camaro in secret!!
no but seriously. I think it would be a great way to market the vehicle if no one knows about it... wait until they are all excited about the new mustang and then boom!! release the new camaro! Everyone would be freaked and have to think twice about the new mustang... I can see the ads now
"The new 2005 Camaro!"
.
" you didnt think it was gonna be that easy did you?"
.
"here horsie, horsie, horsie..."
.
"Chevy, we'll be there"

Jesus Christ, that same idea keeps getting rehashed in every single thread now. I really don't think they care enough to keep it that much of a secret.

They could have been design studio sketches...

I doubt it was a clay model at this point...

Hmm...

This to me would sound like the ultimate GM publicity stunt. First we have GM pull the F-body, then we have GMHTP interviewing Mark Reuss, who says they "haven't considered it".

Little do we know, somewhere, deep in the bowels of the GM vaults, is a 5th-gen F body prototype. With a wide, easily accessible engine bay, a windshield that ends *at* the firewall, and a shortened wheelbase, this LS6-powered monster has enough going for it to revolutionize GM's standing in the sub-$30K performance department.

And, with the right PR coverup, and the perfect announcement timing, it might even have enough potential to completely derail Ford's launch of the 2005 Mustang.

Some wishful thinking

And let's not forget the redesigned hatch area where you can actually fit a little luggage in the back... even WITH the T-Tops off... granted most people aren't going to make a ten hour drive with the tops off... but a few will...

I know that towards the end of my last drive to Myrtle Beach I was doing everything in my power to fit those T-Tops in the hatch around all of the luggage that we brought... oh I made room... but I couldn't see out of the back window anymore...

Even if it was nothing but a photoshop, it would have been good to see it and give a yeh or nay on it.

The whole thing seems pretty odd though. On the surface cmc is right. A site called Uncle Bob's doesn't sound like a place for anything worthwhile, let alone pictures of a top secret car.

Yet on the flip side, this guy seems to be some type of industry supplier as well as a car broker, and he has a site that contains spy shots (can't access it though... not authorized screen come up every time I try to get in).

The fact that apparently quite a few people saw it and didn't raise the BS flag, and this picture was evidently pulled less than an hour after it was posted (I got there about 45 minutes after the initial post) leads me to believe that either this all was a hoax , with all the posts comming from 1 person (hard to believe, but possible), or it was some supplier that posted or sent the pics to be posted, then had a sudden change of heart (or major threat) and pulled them.

I'm leaning towards the hoax part myself.
