Re: CTS........mine.

They may have found one somewhere else. When we ordered our '04, they ended up finding one exactly like what we ordered about 3 weeks after we ordered it, so we got that one instead. It's possible, 2 weeks is awfully short.

Re: CTS........mine.

Congrats!

A friend of mine just got one just like it ... except he got the sport suspension with the 17" wheels and all season tires.

He's signed up for the performance/road race driving school at our local track first weekend in May. I'm looking forward to seeing how it does on the track .... I don't think it will spend much time in my rearview mirror.

Re: CTS........mine.

Post pics!!??? You guys think that's an easy thing for a guy like me? I'll ask one of my kids for help on that.

As it turns out, it is a new build. It came so fast, I was beginning to think it was located, (which is fine, but I'd have a problem if the dealer lied to me about that),.....but checking the build date and the dealer destination code, confirms it as a new build. Amazing, because it was built within 24-96 hours of my order.

At Cadillacforums, afew guys ordered their CTS's and also got them in exactly two weeks.

And as far as exhaust note...there are several options out there. One of the cheapest and most elegant solutions for the 3.6, is to buy the stock CTSv exhaust from someone who's put an aftermarket system on their V. The CTSv exhaust doesn't add too much power, but it sounds nicer, bolts/welds right up, and comes with those nice CTSv tips.

Alright, let me first figure out this XM radio thing, before I start ripping stock parts out.....

Now, what to do with my SVT Contour? I'm not sure if I have the heart to sell it yet.

You could give it away or donate it to charity.

Congrats! These are great cars and I'm sure you'll be happy with it. And even if you'd got the auto, it's a pretty nice slushbox.

As a matter of fact, I thought the 5 speed auto is an excellent unit.

Re: CTS........mine.

Congrats Charlie...if I had the $$ (and needed a car), I can't think of another car I'd rather have, except for maybe my free one in my sig

Its funny, because I've had a ton of people ask how I like the 300, and what I think about it for the same basic $$ as a CTS. As much as I love the Hemi, the style and the interior goodies, I'd have to take the CTS at the same price. The manual tranny, playful chassis, and styling that seems almost timeless has got to be an awesome combo. And black, 18s and an M6 don't hurt, either

Good choice, my friend...I assume the SVT is gone??

Thanks Jason!

And no, the SVT is still here. Like I said earlier, I'm not sure if I have the heart to sell it yet. It's got 97,000+ miles on it, and it's still a blast to drive. Amazing, that I've been driving it for 9 years, and I'm not bored with it. I'm sure I'll end up selling it eventually (mostly due to space issues)....but my head is not quite there yet.
