A couple more Charger tidbits
The 4 door coupe is a marketing scam.....the auto makers are just trying to hedge their bets with the 4dooor coupe things. It will tend to sort itself out....a 4 door coupe isnt going to be much more rear door friendly than a true coupe thus buy the better looking 2 door.
Larger coupes are making a comeback anyway so these things will soon be a moot point.

Found this while doing some looking around:
• 2006 Charger = 4 full-sized doors (with a fastback style body)
• Rear wheel drive, AWD ?
• LX platform
• WILL BLEND ELEMENTS OF BOTH '99 CHARGER AND AIRFLITE
• 5.7L Hemi V8
• Auto or Autostick (no Manual trans. at least for year 1)
• Blown 5.7L or NA 6.1L HEMI in 2nd year, probably with manual tranny
• Will be available with a police package called Enforcer ?
• Circular Steering wheel
• Replaces Intrepid as bread & butter large Dodge car
• Price range $24K-$38K US
• Will have a "Whatcha lookin' at front?!" and a "See ya later" rear end
• Will be liked as much as the original Chrysler Corp 99 version

Found THIS pic from one of Guy's post. Except for the doors, it kinda has a Airflite front with the body of the 99 Charger. I still am confident that this is very close to what the Charger will look like.
FWIW, this car is also very NASCAR Intrepid like, and we know that the Charger will replace the Intrepid in NASCAR. Hmmm, makes you think.

Why would the Dodge car cost more for a base then the 300? You would figure lower, more along 22k to 30k for a hemi since the Magnum comes under 30k with a hemi. See what can be done when you dont go retro? Tell me that car doesnt look bad-assed, more then the flying-brick 05 Mustang. Ford better watch its rear, Dodge doesnt play around with performance.

Sorry to disappoint you guys, but next year's Hemi Charger won't be 500lbs lighter than the 300C and it won't be as low slung like the '99 concept. However, don't expect the Charger to be embarrassed in performance or pricing. The 6.1 liter Hemi Charger should trump both the soon-to-be upgraded GTO and outgoing Mustang Cobra.
It's just too bad that Dodge is maintaining it's hideous crossbar front end motif, especially when the Chrysler brand has rediscovered a sense of style. With the coming of the LX cars, DCX should have put the dismal legacy of the Intrepid to rest.
