It's a shame that the S10's used the ZR-2 name. In 1971 that meant a 454 was lurking under the hood. My first choice would be ZR-1, with "Stingray" (one word) a distant 2nd.

Their studies would indicate that the USCG (with all due respect to the fantastic men and women of the Coast Guard!), needed a more badass image. They may decide that to get this image, they will now rename the USMC - the USCG. And from now on, "Marines" will be referred to as "Coastguardsmen". Good for the Coast Guard in this instance...but I'd bet most Marines would have an opinion to share on this.

I like Stingray myself.

Has anyone considered the name Z06-R?
Now before anyone makes any R=Rice comments...
C5-R
C6.R
...And to demonstrate that the "R" needn't be a race only designation...

With Z06-R Chevrolet gets to maintain the household name street cred they've earned with the Z06 name whilst building an even more specialized higher performance niche version and image.

The USCG doesn't have a badass image because they aren't badasses. They're the nerds of the military. Take the CG Academy and you'll find the smartest people in the military, and also typically the skinniest least muscular and nerdiest.
I can say all of that because my dad retired after 20-something years from the USCG as Captain and XO of the national airbase in DC, and he's a big nerd. He flies for FedEx now but he still wears a calculator watch, wears velcro sneakers from time to time because they're "convenient", plays on the computer half his free time, and wears his jeans WAY too tight.
