Corvette Refresh?
Re: Corvette Refresh?
Personally, I like the look afforded by pop-up headlights but among the other already mentioned issues is that pop-up headlights also act like air brakes!
I can't remember specific numbers I've heard but I do remember being amazed at the difference in drag pop-up headlights can cause compared to non-pop-up and I think that would be especially true in a design such as the C6 wehre the lines for the headlights are so well integrated into the overall shape of the leading edge of the car.

Re: Corvette Refresh?
I always like to tease that C5s, Firebirds, and other popup-headlight-equipped cars are "slower at night".
It's just a joke, though. I've heard that the different in 1/4 mile ET and trap speed are less than 0.1%, and therefore not necessarily attributable to the headlights, since a car will vary by that much on two back-to-back runs.

That doesn't just have to be black - can be colored, too.

Well I could like them more if they looked more expensive and not like they tied some flashlights together and put a cover over them.
The DRLs are wrong, too big, the color and texture difference make it look wierd, as do the low beams and the dead space in the top. They need to rethink them.
Ferrari and others manage to make them look pretty good, even if you dont have too much sci-fi in your blood.

I really like the looks of the C6 headlights.
Yes, they did take a little while to grow on me, but it definnitely works.
Funniest quote about the C6 ever....
In 1992, while looking at a early clay concept model of a C5, Tom Peters said "Corvettes don't have exposed headlights!!!"

Ten years later, he designed the C6 hehe.

Re: Corvette Refresh?
Fixed Roof Coupe. Very cool feature of the C5, basically made it look like a C5 Z06 without the Z06 cost. They also had a trunk instead of a hatch.
I think the C6 looks awesome. It's hard not to blow house saving money on one of those when they are calling my name out every day as I drive past the Chevy dealership. Like a damn Siren lol.

Personally, I prefer the looks of the coupe.
